A Snapchat caption becomes part of a saved image. If it covers a photo you own, you can create a cleaned copy by selecting the caption without changing the rest of the image.

Start with a narrow caption selection

Captions are often placed over a translucent strip or a shadow. Select the words and a small amount of the immediate background, but avoid extending the box into unrelated details. A smaller selection gives the editor less image area to rebuild.

Remove the caption in five steps

  1. Upload the saved image in JPG, PNG, or WebP format.
  2. Mark the caption area with one close selection.
  3. Run the edit and inspect the reconstructed background.
  4. If the caption crosses a face or a patterned object, process each section separately.
  5. Download the revised image after checking the result at normal viewing size and at full size.

If the caption includes a sticker

Graphic stickers and text captions are different visual problems. Remove the text first, then make a new selection for the sticker if needed. This keeps each reconstruction small and easier to review.

Only edit images you own or have explicit permission to modify.
